In September 2009, Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church celebrated its 20th year anniversary. The church was started by a handful of people, who met at the local YMCA. They grew in numbers, eventually acquired land in Summerlin and met in modular units moved to the property. Twenty years later, under the guidance of Father Dale Augustin, Priest-In-Charge, who began in 2007 they now enjoy a beautiful worship edifice, a new parish center and a new 3-manual Rodgers Allegiant 698 organ!
Robert Tall & Associates, Inc., San Dimas, California, Rodgers representatives for southern California and southern Nevada installed the organ April 1, 2009. On May 31, 2009, well-known local organist, Doug Wilson, played a dedication recital to a very appreciative and enthusiastic audience.
